The worlds longest Hockey game is taking place in Chestermere, Alberta.

We left the house at 8.30am with a full moon over the mountains and the sun rising in the East. A group of around 20 people were milling around at the intersect of the 1A and Horse Creek road, then a CBC TV truck pulled up and a few words were said about Marathon Quest 250. We then had a minute silence for our fallen soldiers and Michelle Lang, the Calgary Herald reporter recently killed in Afghanistan.
At 9.01am the Marathon started and a gaggle of us headed down the 1A highway. It was pretty chilly and soon most of the hydration packs had frozen solid. The sun came out during the last 5km and we crossed the finish line at just after 2.30pm. One down!!!!!!!
