Below are the Latest Marathon stats:
Beautiful morning, clear sky and the sun popping up above the horizon in the East. There was little wind so I had to be careful not to start out too fast. By the 18km mark I was cooking so it was time to make the big move; expose my lillywhite Devonshire legs to the sun. CBC radio reporter Mary-Catherine had asked me yesterday if there was anything specifically I thought about on my runs and I had to say no. I had run with Dean Karnazes a couple months ago and he said he used a dictaphone to record his thoughts and write a book. I bought a dictaphone but have only got to page 3 of the 16 page manual, very complicated.
So I've decided to a research study on Llama's (if Jane Goodall and Diane Fosse can do it, why not). There's a gaggle (?) of Llama's residing in a gated community at km 34. Llama's have no known enemy's except man, wolves, cougars, bears and WereRabbits (see Blog #004: WereRabbit). I will study what they eat, behavioral tendency's, mating habits and favourite colour. I've named one Two-Tone and another Tich (baby). So far communication has been limited but I think they're just shy. I was questioned as to whether they were Llama's or Alpaca's but my trusty Senior Research Assistant Annie found the following "Llama - bigger. Alpaca - cuter". Once I have finished my study I hope to get it published in The National Geographic or the National Enquirier (I get confused with those two). I'll keep you posted.
