Below are the Latest Marathon stats:
A cold, foggy and frosty morning greeted me as I left the house for marathon #027. I could see figures in the mist at the start line and was met by Runners Kevin, Kathy and Roy. We started off at a slow pace and had to keep our eyes peeled for cars coming towards us. At the 18km we were joined by Runners JoAnne and John, and at the 26km by Runners Janice, Lana and Annie. As I swept down the hill towards the 32km mark, a strange thing happened, I could hear horses galloping. Then out of the mist came Sir Pamalot, Sir Danalot and Sir Frankalot, all three of them banging coconut shells together and dressed in full knights' regalia. What a sight!. For the final 6km Runner Brian joined us, as we broke the tape at the finish.
I had discussed the incident of Randy and the ruined homestead with my good friend Kevin and he had suggested I check out "The History of Cochrane and Area" by the well known local historian Ivor Penn. I went to the library and found three copies but to my amazement, when I looked for the section on the Wild Cat Hills, they had all been cut out. I had only one choice, I went on ebay and bought a first edition of the book. That night as I sat in my rocking chair and enjoyed a cup of tea and a chocloate digestive I started to read the incredible story of Dr Randolph Randolph and the Wild Cat Hills.

Quote of the Day
"Some people create with words, or with music, or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, "I've never seen anyone run like that before." It's more then just a race, it's a style. It's doing something better then anyone else. It's being creative."
