WARNING !. I'm usually not a Moaning Minnie, but today's blog is going to be a huge whine fest. I had a terrible night's sleep with lots of weird dreams, my throat felt sore and my stomach was churning. I had my usual breakfast of cereal and berries, then a cup of piping hot coffee to cauterize the throat. After clambering into my Arctic ensemble, I was out the door. I realised my mistake almost right away, I was cooking. Back home, off with the tights and top, then out again. By km 16 the clouds had come over and the wind picked up, I was freezing: time for 2nd breakfast and more clothes. My stomach wasn't good so I stayed close to the house. By km 26 it was time for lunch. My motivation was dropping rapidly so I figured I'd better get out and finish this off. The wind was howling and I finished the marathon doing the "Siberian Death March".
Yesterday, I went to see my doctor to go over the results of the monthly blood tests. He told me that my Sodium and Chloride levels were low and that I needed to increase my electrolyte intake. I've become a little lax at popping the tablets during the runs, so I'd better get on it.
Enough of the complaining big baby. It's Thursday evening and time to relax. After todays activities, I had a hot tub to get some heat into these old bones. Later on I'm going going to put on my Kermit slippers, dressing gown and watch some TV. It's time to catch up on a few episodes of 24. That Jack Bauer, is there nothing that can stop him? Apparently not!
