Slept well on the pull-out bed. When I checked the alarm clock it said 4.00am. Good, still a couple of hours to go before the alarm kicks in. I doazed off and checked again, 4.00am, oh dear dead battery! A quick change, filled up the Camelbak and I was out the door. I jogged up Columbus street and onto Boston Common. My stomach didn't feel too good. The fruit des mari was still swimming around in my tum. I headed along the Freedom Trail following the red bricks. I needed a coffee and food. I spotted the "Little Italian Cafe" on a side street and zipped in. After a latte and poppyseed muffin I was off.

Three loops of the Freedom Trail and 20km later I was back at the cafe for lunch. I finished the marathon at the John Hancock Sports and Fitness expo then went inside to pick up my race package for tomorrow. while I was in there I had a good look around. I met Bart Yasso and said hi. Later I stopped at Dick and Rick Hoyt's table. I didn't really know what to say. I said "You guy's are the tops" and wished them all the best for tomorrow. Back at the brown stone I cleaned up and had supper. Big day tomorrow.

Wayne, Lisa and Cathy Benz see me off on the Freedom Trail Marathon
