Below are the Latest Marathon stats:
At precisely 2:54pm, on Sunday June 6th Avatar Marathon Martin entered the Boston, Massachusetts city limits. He had started his virtual route across Canada and the US on January 1st, at the intersection of the 1A Highway and Horse Creek road, just outside Cochrane, Alberta. His virtual running route had taking him through the Canadian Province's of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. He had entered the US and travelled through Vermont, New Hampshire and into Massachusetts. On his travels, he had seen many wonderful things including Husky the Muskie - a 24 foot tall fish, the Wawa goose - good job that bird isn't on the Calgary pathways and the Big Moose - nuff said.
Yesterday, he decided to visit some of the top attractions in Boston. He's a bit of an art lover, so he headed over to the Fine Art Museum. He then popped over to Quincy Market for a bit of lunch and an ice cream. The afternoon was left to his real passion: History. In the heart of the city he found what he was looking for. A plaque on a gate stated "Founded in 1660, the Old Granary Burial Grounds in Massachusetts is the city of Boston's third-oldest cemetery. Located on Tremont Street, it is the final resting place for many notable Revolutionary war-era patriots including three signers of the Declaration of Independence and the five victims of the Boston Massacre".
He had arrived in Boston, his destination, 157 days from his starting point.
It's now time to head home.
