Luck is a funny thing. A friend of mine had a dog with three legs and it's name was Lucky. Today I headed out for my third walk marathon of the week. I felt like running but I told myself that I should stick to the plan: walk four marathons this week, then start running on Sunday. Along the path, at the far end of town, was a cat. As I approached it, the black feline walked across my path. That's very lucky but only if you're from England or Australia. If you're from N. America it's unlucky. Why? Was there a "Black cat incident" on a paddle steamer sailing from London to New york in the late 1800's.
Sue and I keep an eye out for lucky pennies. The other day Sue found one while waiting in the security line at San Francisco Airport. Next moment she was pulled from the line and had to go into one of those 'full-body' x-ray machines. Not so lucky. I saw no lucky pennies on my route today, but I did get my new computer up and running. Computer Wizard PJ came over and did the required surgery. There are still a few hiccups but overall it was a smooth transfer. Now that's lucky.
