Today I ran at my first Summer Day Camp. The Town of Cochrane holds these camps every year and they are terrific. This week's theme was "Around the World" and Culture Coordinator Sandy introduced me to the Camp Councillors and the kids. It was very cool because I had previously met a number of the children at schools in Cochrane. My route was around the park next to the Farmers Market and this I did 70 times.

In most sports events there's a break during the procedures. It's either at half time, after a period or quarter. At this point in the game you come into the dressing room for orange slices and a bottle of water. Then the Coach goes over what happend and make changes for the up coming session of play. Periods of play can be 45 mins, 20mins or 15mins, in my case it was 6 months including 2 1/2 weeks of injury time. During the 6 months I've  visited 24 schools and ran with over 6,000 kids.

Half time is now over, the oranges have been eaten and the water drunk. Time to get back onto the field for the second half.
