The Kimmett Cup pond hockey tournament. 32 teams, over 300 players. What a great way to celebrate Lindsay's memory.

Below are the Latest Marathon stats:
The last couple of weeks I've been having a battle royale with my arch nemesis "The Brain". In the morning when the alarm goes off, "The Brain" says "Oh Martin why don't you just roll over and grab another 1/2 an hour snooze. The duvet is so warm and the pillow so soft." After breakfast, "The Brain" says "Why don't you just have a quick rest on the couch, it's only 10 minutes!". Today when I parked up at the parking lot, next to the Shouldice pool parking lot, "The Brain" said "How about popping in a CD of Paul McCartney and Wings and catch a few winks?". " The Brain" is always questioning which route I should take. This one is too hilly, that one has too much traffic. Then there's the weather. Too hot, too cold, too wet.
So how do I handle this 3lb lump of gristle, encased in a bone box, located at the pointy end of the body? Well I trick it. I tell "The Brain" that I'm only going for a 10km run and then I'm going to have coffee and a muffin. This continues until the marathon is completed. Sometimes "The Brain" is correct. I've had several injuries and "The Brain" has told me to stop. This has proven to be the smart move and allowed me to get back to the marathons. "The Brain" is now telling me it's bed time. Good idea.
