Below are the Latest Marathon stats:
Last night I went to see Dr. Hanlon. He reviewed my blood work for the last two months and everything looked good. I then told him about the pains in my right leg, since I had had the fall 1 1/2 months ago. He diagnosed that I had a muscle tear deep in my glute. He commented that, with the activity level I had planned to the end of the year, it would not heal. However there was a good chance that it wouldn't get any worse as long as I managed it on a day to day basis. Stay tuned.
Today was wet and misty. I parked at the Shouldice Pool and headed towards Eau Claire Market. I had decided that I needed a change of scenery so I paid my $19.95 and entered into Calgary Zoo. With my zoo map in hand I toured around the "Canadian Wilds", "Destination Africa", "Eurasia", "South America", "Australia", "Prehistoric Park" and "Dorothy Harvie Gardens". The zoo really isn't my cup of tea and to be honest the animals looked wet and a bit pathetic. I managed to do four loops when I felt I had to get out. The rest of the day was spent running along the banks of the Bow which felt a lot more liberating.
Tonight I went to see Dr. Greg. He worked the muscles in my back and right leg. He wants me to go for an x-ray to check out the "Subacute right hip area injury". Stay tuned.
