I'd like to thank everyone who sent me an email regarding my deliberate mistake in yesterday's blog. Pipsqueak the wonder hamster was actually Pipsqueak the wonder guinea pig. Quite frankly these people had too much time on their hands. I suggest they do something constructive with their time like make a model tractor out of matchsticks.
Last night Canadian Wealth Management put on a fundraiser for Marathon Quest 250 / Right To Play. I had the oppertunity to chat with a number of people and this morning Runner Donna, who was at the event, joined me for the marathon. We finally got some decent weather and the run along the Bow, through the fallen leaves, was very enjoyable.
Avatar Marathon Martin has headed North West since leaving Minneapolis, on his virtual tour across North America. Two days ago, he arrived at Alexandria, Minnesota. His timing was perfect as he joined in the "Grape Stomp Festival" hosted by the Carlos Creek Winery. The squishy grapes felt good on his calloused feet. In the afternoon, he visited the town museum and saw the controversial "Kensington Runestone". The stone indicates that Vikings came to this area back in the 14th century. Finally he headed over to see Big Ole the Viking, 25' of solid concrete.
